His Office held a reception just before Christmas & CSPA NI was delighted to be invited to attend, We subsequently presented him with a Gift in recognition of his commitment to the cause of Older People.

In response Eddie praised CSPA NI as a “brilliant organisation whose members are some of the most brilliant advocates for Older People’s Issues“. Adding ‘ It was an absolute privilege to work with you to achieve decent rights for Older People “.

The preprocess to appoint a successor to Eddie Lynch had started in July 2024 but an announcement re the new appointment was only made in early March that Siobhan Casey had been appointed & would take up post , for a 4 year term, on 7th April.

Siobhan was a former Director of Marketing & Business Development of Age NI. CSPA NI invited Siobhan to attend our AGM on 7th May. We were delighted that the invitation was accepted. In her address Siobhan said she “  was delighted to speak to CSPA NI Members & looked forward to hearing their thoughts , both as Older People & experts in the design & delivery of public services “.
